At the Château du Frandat, we are used to producing structured, complex wines. With Enchantement, our will was to offer a more simple wine, more just on the fruit, a wine-pleasure to drink simply!
• Location
Our vines are situated on a wide plateau, on the heights of Nérac, Gascony.
• Terroir
Clay and limestone soils
• In the vineyard
Yield of 55hl per ha with 4000 vine plants per ha. Selection of specific parcels for the rosé.
• Winemaking
Pre-fermentation maceration at 8° C ( 3 days). Control of the temperatures at 20°C during the alcoholic fermentation with with cap-punching morning and evening. Devatting at density 1040, and malo-lactic fermentation in stainless steel vats.
• Grape variety
Merlot : 96 %
Cabernet franc : 2 %
Cabernet sauvignon : 2 %

Tasting tips
• Serving
To serve at room temperature or slighly chilled at summertime (14° C)
• Tasting
Colour: intense dark red
Bouquet: deep with black fruit notes
Taste: Fat and fruity wine, nevertheless with a good body and structure.
